Allianz Real Estate is celebrating the topping-out ceremony for its new office building "An der Alster 42" in Hamburg's St. Georg district. As the owner, it has also invited the participating craftsmen, architects and business partners to the construction site on the Alster for a traditional celebratory drink and reception. The office building will be completed and ready for occupancy by the beginning of 2019. The investment volume is around 20 million euros.
"The previous buildings and land were already owned by Allianz. The location was predestined for carrying out project development in the existing portfolio at this point, thus creating a long-term investment for Allianz policyholders," said Annette Kröger, CEO of Allianz Real Estate North & Central Europe, during the celebration. "The new building does credit to Hamburg and the special location."
The new An der Alster 42 office building is being built in the immediate vicinity of magnificent hotels and Wilhelminian-style villas. After completion, around 6,000 square metres of office space will be available in the 6-storey, accessible building. The building is characterised by high-quality furnishings, a green inner courtyard and terraces with wide views over the Outer Alster and St. Georg. In addition to a bicycle cellar and shower room for fitness-oriented tenants, the building has 20 outdoor and 51 underground parking spaces. Intensive discussions with prospective office tenants are already underway.
