HRS is to move into the office in central Cologne in mid-2017
Half time for the new Coeur Cologne building at Breslauer Platz in Cologne: the construction principal, Allianz Real Estate Germany, celebrates the topping-out ceremony with builders and business partners at the office building's construction site in the heart of Cologne. Right next to the central station of the Rhine metropolis, the building has been in the process of construction since December 2014. The hotel service portal HRS will move its registered office to this location in mid-2017, bringing up to 850 employees along with it.
"The uninterrupted view of the cathedral, the Rhine and the Seven Hills really is something special. We are very happy for the HRS employees moving into their offices here in just under a year", said Annette Kröger, CEO of Allianz Real Estate Germany. In particular, the "Skygarden" roof terrace on the seventh floor of the Coeur Cologne is bound to become a favorite meeting spot for the building's tenants. "Thanks to its central location and open design, the Coeur Cologne invites employees from Cologne and across the world to come together and give free rein to their sense of creativity. This makes it a perfect fit for our international focus and the "modern employer" image that we seek to project. We are delighted to be creating a location that offers top career prospects", said Tobias Ragge, CEO of the HRS Group.
Coeur Cologne - offices with a view and rail connections
Allianz Real Estate Germany is having the Coeur Cologne built on a pocket of land measuring around 3,600 square meters in the Kunisbert district of the city. The building will boast around 14,000 square meters of rental space. 13,670 square meters have already been let to HRS. Allianz is now only looking for tenants for around 330 square meters on the ground floor - either for a retail or restaurant business.
The Cologne-based architects msm meyer schmitz-morkramer designed the building, and the entire execution of the construction work has been assigned to the construction company Ed. Züblin AG, which is acting as the general contractor. The Coeur Cologne will boast a metal and glass facade with a lobby up to 20 meters high, and a four-storey "city window" complete with a view of the cathedral. The building shell is now able to give us an idea of the proportions of the structure.
